Fragmented Centre of Europe

While during the early middle age many countries were ruled by a stronger central power, e.g. a king, the centre of Europe rested still fragmented. There were many local rulers, the weakest king or lord was elected the emperor. The presentation gives a hint to the historical roots of the fragmentation of the centre of Europe and its consequences.
